I currently work at the Compton Herbarium, South African National Biodiversity Institute, doing research on the systematics of the South African flora, specializing in Colchicaceae, Iridaceae, Haemodoraceae and Hyacinthaceae.
I co-authored Plants of the Greater Cape Floristic Region 1: the Core Cape Flora, and have published numerous field guides to the flora.
